Welcome to the US Navy League’s Sarasota-Manatee Council website. We are proud to carry out the Navy League’s core missions to Educate, Advocate, and Support by sharing knowledge and promoting our nation’s sea services. The US Navy, US Coast Guard, and US Merchant Marine play a vibrant role in protecting our nation, sustaining our economy, and promoting safe transit of international sea lanes and trade routes.
Locally, the Sarasota-Manatee Council supports numerous youth programs in Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. NJROTC units, young Marines, Sea Cadets, the National Flight Academy, and more, all rely on the generous support of our council’s member-volunteers to carry out their programs.
One need not have previously served on active duty or in the reserves to be a member of the Sarasota-Manatee Council Navy League. We welcome those interested in the mission to come to an event and experience the camaraderie and shared sense of purpose. Our calendar of events is posted on this web site.
